What is Apple Carplay?

Our phones are integrated into our lives, and sometimes it is hard to go without them even just for a few minutes. What is Apple CarPlay?  One of the biggest concerns in this day and age is the problem of people texting and driving or just distracted by changing the song on their playlist. Apple CarPlay is the answer to all of our concerns when it comes to using our phones and driving.

You could say "well, put your phone away while driving!". But what about if you need your phone for navigation? Or are you listening to music or an audiobook on a road trip? Apple CarPlay helps you do anything you would do on your phone without you ever having to take your eyes off the road or hands of the wheel.

Apple CarPlay is connected to your stereo system in your car. You can control it with your vehicle's knobs, buttons, touchscreen, or just voice command. It can play voice messages, read a text, and allows for talk to text so you can reply and never miss a beat. It uses Siri technology so all you have to do is tell it what you want and you never have to fiddle with your phone.

Gone are the days when you have to pull off the interstate or busy highway to look up the nearest gas station or restaurant on your phone. Now you say, "Hey Siri, where is the nearest Dunkin Donuts?" It doesn't just guide you; it even tells you which lane to be in, shows the speed limits, and helps you get to your destination safer.

If you can't live without listening to some tunes while driving, ask Siri to play your favorite song or access your playlist. It's all built into the car as soon as you get into your vehicle. Once you set it up, you never have to worry about it again.

Most newer vehicles come standard with Apple CarPlay, and it works with most current smartphones. You don't need to buy a brand new car to get it; it can be added to most existing stereo systems.

Using your phone while driving is dangerous and against the law in many places. Apple CarPlay takes the risk out and keeps you and everyone around you safer.
